Brinner!

We love Brinner! Brinner is breakfast for dinner....

Alexa loves Brinner so much she would have it once a week! It's a real treat in our house - so this time it was even more fun making it ourselves!

The key is to make the pancakes dairy free for Alexa. We used SOY milk. We also had a lot of fun trying Turkey Bacon. It's a healthier choice than regular bacon.

This blog post was so fun! We hope you enjoy it and make Brinner for your family!

Enjoy!
Emma & Alexa
The Dairy Free Girls

The ingredients. Everyone loves breakfast foods! We always use real Canadian maple syrup!
Alexa used her egg-cracking skills from our last blog post!
Concentrated to the max! Now an old-pro at egg-cracking...
We like to divide and conquer! Usually Alexa works on the dry ingredients and Emma works with the wet ingredients!
Emma's pouring in the SOY MILK for the pancakes. Measuring 2 cups carefully.
Pour shot.
Alexa begins measuring the dry ingredients for the pancakes. We use Bisquick. No dairy issues.
Quick clean up.
The pour shot.
Perfecting measuring.
We both love to mix and whisk!
The key to beautiful fluffy pancakes is getting rid of the lumps.
Emma does check 1.
Alexa does check 2. We are lump free!
Time to make the scrambled eggs! Go Alexa Go!
Time to add a dash of salt. Whisking begins...
The key to whisking the eggs - it's all in the wrist..... and not dropping the fork in the pan...
Whisk Whisk Whisk.... It's all in the wrist. Hold the fork so it doesn't.....

....fall in the eggs.... Blog Pause for laughing....
Time to make the bacon. We used regular pork bacon and turkey bacon...
We are concentrating to make sure the bacon fits on the paper towels perfectly.

We decided to microwave the bacon tonight.

Emma started on the pancakes. Since she's older - she got to do the work on the stove.

While making pancakes, we put the eggs on the stove.

Mixing them up while they cooked.

You have to be quick!

Eggs are done - Yummy Yellowness!

There is a lot of action going on - while the eggs are finishing up we had to quickly flip the pancakes!
Here is a close-up of our beautiful pancakes!

Even more close up!
Eggs plated!
No Brinner is complete without fresh fruit. Our favs? (This is a trick question!) Emma is the one who loves Raspberries! Thanks Alexa for helping!
But we both LOVE watermelon!
Wow! Look how crispy the bacon turned out! It's hard to tell which is the pork and which is the turkey. We made extra to share with the adults!

Our complete BRINNER - Family style on the coffee table!
Just the way we like it!
Now - we thought it would be fun to show you how Emma eats pancakes...
You start with a warm pancake
Pour some maple syrup in a small bowl
Dip pieces of the pancake in the bowl of maple syrup
EAT AND REPEAT!
