City S'Mores!

Happy Summer to our followers and readers!

Summer is halfway over and we are excited to share this blog post with you! We all love S'Mores and since we live in a city, we thought it would be fun to create a S'Mores experience as if we were out camping! We started with this gadget we bought at Amazon.com:

Microwavable S'Mores Maker It's very cool - and it works! It's $7.00.

Since marshmallows are dairy free - the only obstacle was the chocolate - Mom and Grandma to the rescue! .... there is a way to make them dairy free for Alexa.

Read on and enjoy our City S'Mores!

Enjoy!
Emma & Alexa
The Dairy Free Girls

The ingredients: Graham Crackers, Marshmallows, Chocolate. Easy!
Jet-Puffed large marshmallows!
Graham Crackers - these are dairy free!
Here is the chocolate that Alexa can eat. Lindt Swiss Bittersweet. Delicious!
Emma filled the S'More maker with water per the directions. Then the cap is closed tightly so it wont spill when it's hot after being in the microwave. Caution kids!
We place the Graham Cracker first, then the Chocolate, then the marshmallow, and sandwich it off with a 2nd Graham Cracker. Easy!
We recommend keeping the marshmallows right side up - better balance!
Look! Yum!
So easy to cook  - Alexa is placing it in the microwave.. 30 seconds and 2 delicious S'Mores will be ready to snack on.
They're done! Look how gooooooey!
(TIP: Our mom added Strawberry Jam on her S'More - it was delicious as well)
Yum - we really couldn't focus on pictures - they were delicious.
Very gooooooooooooey!
Yep - they tasted just as good as if we were sitting around a campfire. Gooey and chocolatey!

  1. You can also roast them over the stove if you have a gas flame :) Don't forget about dairy-free milk chocolate with rice milk - it tastes just like the real thing!
